- Slide material into the machine from the hold-down side of the machine.
- IMPORTANT: Ensure that the material is still visible from the hold-down side of the machine before shearing. Never feed material in from the backside of the machine.
- Move the hold-down adjustment lever to the appropriate setting.
- Finetune the setting by adjusting the coupling nut on the swing bolt.
- Make sure the material is firmly clamped down by the before shearing.
