The Piranha press brake comes programmed with a production mode that allows you to customize the fastest processing method based on your material handling capabilities. Production mode can be set up in the Delem controller settings, under production time calculations.
First, set the critical dimension boundaries. These are the three material width ranges you wish to use in the calculations.
Once entered, they will now be used in the sequence below the entry field.
For example, if you entered…
Boundary1=6.00
Boundary2=36.00
Boundary3=72.00
…then there will now be four ranges below the entry field:
< 6.00
6.00-36.00
36.00-72.00
>72.00
Based on your material handling capabilities, input the estimated time it takes your operator to turn the material top to bottom, front to back, and a combination of both turns for all the given ranges. The control will now use these values to calculate the fastest bends.
