Piranha's Arc Max tables use FlashCut CNC with EtherCAT motion control on the X, Unlimited, and Elite models, while the Arc Max Ultra runs on ARC CNC. The Piranha C Series uses MyPlasm CNC. Each system is matched to the table's servo speed, gantry design, and Hypertherm® power source for optimal cutting performance.

Capacity varies by model: the Arc Max X handles a 2" pierce and 3" severance in mild steel, the Arc Max Elite and Ultra cut up to 2", and the Arc Max Unlimited reaches up to 3" mild steel using mixed plasma and oxy-fuel processes. Power source selection, from Powermax SYNC to XPR 300, determines exact thickness capability.

Yes. The Piranha-Whitney Punch Plasma Combination Machine integrates CNC-controlled plasma cutting with hydraulic punching, countersinking, embossing, and drilling in a single setup. This multi-process CNC coordination produces up to three times more parts per day than running separate cutting and punching machines.

Piranha's CNC plasma tables are matched to genuine Hypertherm® power sources, ranging from the Powermax SYNC 45-125A for lighter-duty work up to the XPR 300 and MAXPRO 200 for high-definition, heavy-plate cutting. The CNC controller and power source are pre-configured together for optimal cut quality out of the box.

Most Arc Max configurations ship in 2-3 weeks and arrive fully assembled and factory tested, minimizing on-site setup time. On-site installation and operator training are available on select models, and the CNC controller is pre-configured at the factory so the system is ready to run cut files shortly after arrival.
