A metal shearing machine uses a hydraulic ram to drive a blade through metal stock, cleanly cutting flat bar, angle, or plate without heat or material waste. Piranha ironworkers feature a low rake angle flat bar shear and a floating upper blade on the angle shear for clean, accurate cuts across a range of material thicknesses.

Piranha ironworkers range from 50 to 225 tons across three product lines. The single-operator P Series covers 50 to 140 tons, the dual-operator PII Series spans 88 to 140 tons, and the dual-operator BII Series covers 66 to 225 tons, giving shops of any size a matching capacity option.

Single-operator machines (P Series) are designed for one person to run punching, shearing, and notching stations sequentially, ideal for lower-volume shops. Dual-operator machines (PII and BII Series) allow two operators to work simultaneously at separate stations, increasing throughput for high-volume structural steel and trailer manufacturing operations.

Most Piranha ironworkers include urethane stripper attachments, automatic urethane hold-downs, a low rake angle flat bar shear, a floating upper blade on the angle shear, and a low rake angle coper notcher as standard. Quick-change dovetail tooling is also available on most models to minimize machine set-up time between jobs.

Pricing starts at $18,995 for the 50-ton P-50 single-operator model and ranges up to $96,995+ for the 140-ton PII-140 dual-operator model.
